WHO ARE WE?
A PLACE TO WORSHIP
A PLACE TO GROW
A PLACE TO LOVE
A PLACE TO BE LOVED
A PLACE FOR ALL FAMILY TYPES
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for blessing us with your Holy Spirit, who empowers us to preach good news to the poor. We ask that you would grant us supernatural favor in healing the brokenhearted, setting the captives free, and releasing the oppressed. May we clearly proclaim your grace to all peoples we encounter. Grant us a heart that would cause us to reach out and comfort those who are weighed down by the cares of this world. Bless each person who comes our way with a crown of beauty. Help them to throw away their ashes and put on the garment of praiseinstead of a spirit of despair. Through your Son, Jesus, may we become the oaks of righteousness you promised we would be – trees planted for the display of your splendor. Bless everything that our hands touch that we may rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places that have long been devastated. With your help, we know that all things are possible for those who believe.
In Jesus Name,
Gathering Place Worship Center (GPWC) is a church that embraces the truth of God's unconditional love for all people. We share with others the same comfort that we ourselves have received from the Lord. We are calling those who have been fed up by mainstream religion to join us in sharing the GOOD NEWS.
GPWC offers what is rare these days in church - a NON-JUDGMENTAL ATTITUDE. We hold firmly to the message of Jesus that empowers people to live for God through the work of his saving grace. As a result, we become more Christ-conscious than self-conscious. When our eyes are where they belong, we stop looking at each other's faults and start looking at the ONE who is beautiful, lovely, and perfect in every way.
We've forsaken the idea of trying to earn God's approval by our own efforts and have come to simply receive the unmerited favor of God in our lives. We seek to understand the Biblical truth that we are the Beloved of God, a people who are loved not for what they can do, but for who they are as His children in Christ Jesus.
God has taken us out of cursed places and has gathered us together in a blessed place to live in glorious freedom. This place is open for you too. There is plenty of room at His table!
